Benchmark Assessments
Benchmark assessments utilizes a consistent framework for comparisons among industries, towns, states or other geographic areas. This framework can be used to assess the strengths and competitiveness of both sectors and geographies.
Do you want to know how your industry is performing over time relative to other regions? How does your town's commercial grand list compare with similar areas? Is your state competitive and entrepreneurial? A number of questions can be answered using an analysis and benchmarking framework, as well as data sets developed by CERC.
CERC's recent benchmark assessment projects have focused on:
- Assessing Connecticut's competitiveness in the New Economy relative to all states
- Developing a Connecticut town database to compare municipalities using a number of variables
- Comparing trends in all U.S. metro areas for the insurance and securities industry
- Identifying industry clusters based on benchmarking methodology
